Since we located our HQ in Wimbledon back in 2013 we have seen the Event Logistics workload for neighbouring client White Light steadily increase.
White Light are a leading lighting supplier to the West End and UK touring theatre. They have recently acquired video-technology company Shock Solutions and expanded their audio department. This increased workload has seen White Light asking us to transport more equipment from its SW19 base than ever before, to the point where a partnership seemed like the ideal solution.
Bryan Raven, White Light’s Managing Director, comments:
“This has been an incredibly busy year for us. We’re working on more theatre shows and events than ever before, not to mention we’ve expanded our services. We have worked on prolific projects such as the Rugby World Cup, ITV Sport’s coverage of the Champions and Europa League, alongside London Fashion Week and the NME Awards. This has meant we have had to rely on our transport team to deliver to every single one of these, something we soon realised would be difficult to sustain purely in-house. Having used A-B 24/7 in the past and knowing of their fantastic service, it seemed natural to form a partnership where they could provide a regular service for us. A lot of the time, we are asked to deliver additional parts for say a West End show which requires a van to nip to the theatre at an hour’s notice. This is why having the services of A-B 24/7 is so vital as we can rely on them to do just this and cover all bases.”
Our HQ is located close to White Light’s warehouses. Bryan adds: “What’s also great about this partnership is that it’s two local companies working together. A-B 24/7 is a home grown organisation, employing people within the local community and it’s great that we’re in a position to support this”.
On behalf of A-B 24/7 Chris Godly, Managing Director, comments:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to work more with such an exciting organisation and deliver to a range of interesting projects. We know how busy White Light are and how they will continue to grow, therefore it’s fantastic for us to be able to help them manage their ever-growing workload, ensuring that this is a partnership which goes from strength to strength.”
The recent growth of A-B 24/7’s Event Logistics team allows us to fully support White Light without impacting on our Account Holders, Event Logistics and Same Day Courier services.
Chris points out:
“Our plan has always been to model our growth around the demands of our clients and the market sectors we specialise in, but without diminishing our core value of customer service. It is important to us that we continue to maintain the same level of professional service we built our company on, no matter how large we become.”
White Light have provided additional training to our team in the specialised handling of the wide range of equipment they supply, ensuring we maintain the high level of service required. As 2016 sees White Light expand their workload with the Six Nations, BT Sport and the highly-anticipated Broadway transfer of Aladdin, the services of A-B 24/7 will be in more use than ever before and we are proud to promote our new partnership on our entire fleet.
A final word from our MD:
“The benefits of this partnership to our existing customers are that we have new vehicles, additional availability, increased coverage and the endorsement of a leading company in the events world.”
